In-Progress Castle 3D Model
To further familiarize myself with rhino and its assets, I have started creating a castle model with its 3D features. Beginning with the basics: A large box.
I began to add details to the box based on what I planned for my final product to look like. I began to add a couple of cylindrical towers on each of the box's four corners, but it is here where I ran into my first issue: whenever I tried to move the cylinders, they moved vertically as well as horizontally. In other words, every time I tried to move them to the box's corners, they moved off of the base plane as well. I looked into how to fix this and realized that the problem was the fact that I was trying to snap the center of the cylinders to the edges of the box, leading to the cylinders automatically being pushed upwards as they were different objects.
I figured out that the best solution for this would be to loft the objects together rather than dragging them on top of one another. However, this required me to move the objects first. As I was still struggling with that, I decided to take a break and work on solving this problem after expanding my knowledge some more.
